Avril Lavigne touring China

New Delhi (ANI): Canadian pop singer Avril Lavigne will be touring China for her 'The Best Damn Tour' concerts. The 23-year-old vocalist will act as at Guangzhou at offset, followed by other mainland cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Chongqing. The singer's 90-minute concert is expected to include such hits as 'Girlfriend, Innocence, and Forgotten'.

According to the China Daily, the vocalist will likely celebrate her 24th birthday on September 27 in Guangzhou. Lavigne had rocked Shanghai last July.

`Tropic Thunder' breezes to No. 1 with $25.8M

The action funniness "Tropic Thunder" grabbed the top spot at the box office with $25.8 jillion, knocking the Batman taradiddle "The Dark Knight" into second-place later four weekends on top.

Though Taylor Hicks' far-out soul made him 2006's American Idol, second best Katharine McPhee's definitive good looks and part and affinity for traditional pop made her a warm challenger throughout the season. Sean Bean marries for fourth time

Actor Sean Bean has married for the fourth time today, at Marylebone Register Office in London.
The 48-year-old 'Lord of the Rings' star reportedly married 29-year-old Georgina Sutcliffe in a low-key ceremony.
The couple originally intended to marry last month but cancelled 24 hours before the big day, citing "personal reasons".
A small group of guests joined the couple for today's ceremony, including Bean's three daughters from previous relationships.

Wesley Snipes Granted Bail

Actor Wesley Snipes has been granted bail whilst he appeals against his tax evasion conviction.
The 45-year-old star was given a three year prison sentence last month after failing to file income tax records from 1999 to 2001, but will now be at liberty whilst he mounts his appeal.
Snipes lawyers told US District Judge William Terrell Hodges their client was "actively engaged in resolving his liabilities with the Internal Revenue Service civilly".
However, whilst the Judge granted bail he also wrote he was “dubious” over Snipes’ appeal arguments, reports the BBC.

Winehouse denies plans Israeli drug rehab plans

London (ANI): Troubled star Amy Winehouse has dismissed reports that she will be travelling to Israel for drug addiction treatment. The 'Back to Black' singer, who was recently photographed apparently smoking crack cocaine, was allegedly planning to undergo a 6,400 pounds operation to kick her well-documented habit. According to the Jewish Chronicle, the treatment was to take place at the Barzilai Medical Centre following a request from the 24-year-old singer's representatives. Her management has dismissed the report as "nonsense", however, Eliezer Cohen, the chairman of the Israel Anti-Drug Authority, told the newspaper: "They spoke to a renowned Israeli institution and an Israeli professor who conducts a very special and effective method."
